Some links on this website are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, I may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra. That is how this site pays for itself.
The longer version
L. Preston is a participant in affiliate advertising programs designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to retailers. This includes the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may include other affiliate networks and individual brand programs.
When you click an affiliate link on this site, a cookie is placed in your browser by the retailer. If you complete a purchase within that retailer's cookie window, I receive a percentage of the sale. The commission is paid by the retailer out of their margin. Your price is identical to what it would be if you had navigated to the retailer directly.
Affiliate links on this site are marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" in the underlying HTML and open in a new tab. Posts containing affiliate links carry a disclosure at the top of the page, above the point where you would encounter the first link.
What this does not change
No brand has paid to appear on this site. No brand has been given approval over a post before publication. No product has been included because a company sent it for free, and where a product was provided at no cost that will be stated explicitly in the post.
I write about products I returned, and I name the cheaper option when the cheaper option wins. If a recommendation stops being one, the post gets updated or removed rather than quietly left up.
Sponsored content
If a post is ever sponsored, meaning a brand paid for its creation, it will be labeled as sponsored at the top of the post in a way you cannot miss. As of the last update to this page, no sponsored content has been published on this site.
Accuracy of prices
Prices quoted in the body of a post were accurate on the date shown at the top of that post. Retail prices change frequently and without notice. The purchase buttons on this site do not display live prices for that reason. Always confirm the current price on the retailer's own page before buying.
Your choices
